Nvidia founder and chief executive Jensen Huang rejected mounting calls from tech leaders to slow the development of frontier artificial intelligence, arguing that companies should advance as fast as possible.
In an interview broadcast excerpt, Huang maintained that American industry must continue pushing technological boundaries to ensure national economic prosperity and leadership. Huang stressed that maximizing the pace of development does not mean deploying unsafe products, noting that developers should never ship models before they are properly tested. His remarks place the chipmaker at odds with executives from Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google DeepMind who recently advocated for pacing frontier AI research.
Those cautioning for restraint have pointed to emerging risks, including rogue model behavior and rapid self-improvement trajectories. As the dominant supplier of AI accelerator chips with a valuation above five trillion dollars, Nvidia stands at the center of global debates over computing expansion and safety governance.
