Anthropic’s public IPO filing reports sharply higher revenue, a large first-half loss and major infrastructure costs as the company prepares for a planned Nasdaq listing.
Anthropic filed its registration statement with the SEC on October 26. The statement says the company plans to list its Class A shares under the ticker symbol “ANT.” It does not yet specify how many shares the company will offer or their price.
Anthropic recorded $16.3 billion in revenue in the first six months of 2026. That was up from $1.16 billion in the same period last year and more than three times its full-year 2025 revenue. Its reported net loss reached $80.7 billion.
Most of that amount came from accounting changes tied to convertible financing that did not involve cash. Its operating loss was $693 million. Anthropic spent $9 billion on infrastructure in the first half of the year.
It has more than $430 billion in cloud commitments that it is locked into. Broader arrangements could bring the total cloud commitments to $637 billion. Its enterprise business is expanding, with nearly 11,900 customers spending at least $100,000 annually as of September.
The company’s governance plan gives the founders substantial voting control. A trust will have the authority to appoint most of the board. Investors will have to weigh that growth against the costs and risks.
Anthropic has not yet disclosed its offering price or how much it hopes to raise.
