Grenada Prime Minister Dickon Mitchell won a second term on November 5, 2026, as provisional results showed his National Democratic Congress (NDC) winning 14 of the country’s 15 House seats in a historic win in two consecutive elections.
The result expands the NDC’s majority from nine seats in 2022, when it ended the New National Party’s (NNP) nine-year period in office. The NNP, led by Emmalin Pierre, won one seat in St. George North West. Pierre lost her own constituency.
Preliminary figures gave the NDC more than 60% of the vote, according to Grenada’s Parliamentary Elections Office. The NDC’s consecutive wins are the first time the party, founded in 1987, has won general elections in a row. Mitchell thanked voters in Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique for giving his team another chance to serve.
He has pledged to modernize the economy, strengthen health services and reduce youth unemployment. The seat count and vote totals are not final and are awaiting confirmation.
