Nvidia and AMD have committed a combined $4 billion to Meta share offerings as the social-media company expands its planned fundraising to nearly $97.5 billion to help pay for its AI infrastructure.
Nvidia says it will invest $3 billion, and AMD says it will invest $1 billion, deepening their financial ties with a major customer that already uses technology from both companies. Meta’s plan now includes a $25 billion common-stock offering, a $12.5 billion preferred-share offering and a separate share-sale program of up to $60 billion. The company expects to launch that program later.
The common shares are priced at $625 each. The larger program is not expected to begin until 2027. The investment announcements come alongside expanded technology partnerships.
Meta plans to use more of Nvidia’s Vera Rubin systems, Vera CPUs and networking equipment. AMD says its Helios rack systems are running at Meta. AMD also says its processors support the Muse AI agent.
The arrangement shows how connected the AI business is becoming, with chip suppliers also investing in customers whose infrastructure spending creates demand for their products. Meta had said Nvidia, AMD and Broadcom together showed interest in buying up to $5 billion in shares. The confirmed commitments from Nvidia and AMD total $4 billion.
